The information about arab/islamic link is very useful. i hope somebody can throw similar light on our obvious ancient links especially between kerala/kanayakumari and china. Given the rapid and haphazard development in nearby kovalam/poovar I do not how long thengaipattinam will remain an island of serenity. also can somebody throw some light on other backwater coastal areas nearby a. rajakkamangalam b. managudi (confluence of pazhayar river) another area I would like to knwo more about is the maharaja's palace in Eraniel I love our beautiful land!
